Spring and summer hikes.

Jennie and I hiked Lake Blanch in the Spring there was alot
of snow. In fact we hiked through it for at least a mile. We were a little crazy.
My mom and Janelle hiked to Dog lake with me. What I like about
this hike is you can go up the big water trail and than hike back down
on the little water trail. This was my third time on this hike.

This pretty scene was on Twin Lakes trail.

My little girl Jennie came with me on a few hikes.
It was sometimes a bit difficult carring her on my back.
this is Lake Mary up at Brighton and the trail is a bit steep.
Amber is a great hiker she goes with me alot. This is at Dog Lake
Waterfall Canyon hike. It was amazing. It's good to hike
in late spring when the water is raging. Thanks Elisa and Jennie
for coming with me. We also wen't to eat at Cafe Rio. We need to
go again next year for sure!

Little hikers. Mindi complained the whole time. She kept saying
why don't we just take the shortcut.

We drove up Big Cottonwood on a rainy summer day.
Lake Mary on the way to Sunset Peak. Lake Mary
Lake Mary and Martha in the background. She made it. And she wanted to turn back when we were so close.
She was really glad she decided to go the whole way to Sunset Peak.
The view was breathtaking!

After Clouds Sun

I like this painting...

"Sometimes the Spirit Touches Us Through Our Weakness"

by James Christensen

The Latin post nubila phoebus, translates as “after clouds, sun” which is something like our saying “every cloud has a silver lining.” The iconic Christensen hunchback-as-Everyman is somber and a bit troubled. “The hump represents his troubles,” says Christensen, “and we all have them, but there is a little light at the place where the angel spirit’s finger touches the hump. I wanted to show how we grow from coping with adversity. Humbled by our weaknesses, we can be more open to things divine.”
The deceptively simple composition of this James C. Christensen Anniversary Edition contains many of the artist’s most defining elements and inspiration: the hunchback, the light of the spirit, the checkerboard floor representing the opposing aspects of life—light and dark, yin and yang, and a doorway to the unknown…combine to convey a story of hope, recovery and new growth.

Bear Lake August 2009

Tyler is making something in the sand like always. He plays
with the kids while I relax. Such a great husband.
One of my Favorite family traditions is we go to Bear Lake
every August.

Mom and Ava

The kids love the beach.

Linda and Isa hiking Paris Spring.

I like this picture. I took it at Paris Spring.

I tried to hike wearing flip flops...I don't recomend it.

Cute!..Mindi and her cousin Isabel

Kara and Ellie look like they are the same size.

She liked dumping the bucket of water on her head.

Sometimes we need no words.

Big waves...the kids had so much fun.

Friends

Jennie and corbin playing in the jet ski that Tyler made out of sand.

Ava always sticks out her tounge.

Me and Isa

July 30th Jennie's Birthday

We had a pizza picnic party in the park for Jennie's Birthday
I can't believe she is already 3. Time flies.

Zions Trip April 2009

We have a tradition to go to Zionz in the spring. This year it was Me
Mom, Amber, Janelle, Boyd, baby Ava and Delani,
Steve, Ellie, Kara, and baby Mia.

It was a
chilly day.

Amber and
I spent
someMom
and
Daughter
time alone
together.

This is a hole in the
rock that is in
Refridgeration
canyon on the
hike to Angels Landing.
Ellie was being brave...
with a little help.

We waited
for Boyd
while he
went to the
top of Angels
Landing.
I did not
think it
was safe
to take
Amber
up there.

Steve was
hauling
up the trail
with Kara.
